Sacramento Wedding Cake
I love to create! I love to explore! I love to learn!
I took a class recently on a technique that I don't see anyone doing in this area, which excites a designer like myself. What you see on the top layer in this photo is a horizontally striped cake, which in this case was filled with a rich chocolate cake with a homemade raspberry filling.
The stripes you see are actually individually colored strips of chocolate seamlessly laying next to one another to create a unique and breathtaking look. Let's not forget that most cakes covered with chocolate will also taste amazing!!

Ace of Spades - Sacramento Wedding Cakes
Sacramento Wedding Cakes
My coming out party was at a very hip gathering of wedding planners in Sacramento at a Rock & Roll club named Ace of Spades. I was graciously invited by Aimee Wendell of 2chic Events, an amazing wedding planner and designer.
It was my assignment to prepare desserts which would show off my creativity, my design skills and my attention to ingredients and taste. So, off to work I went...
I created 3-packs of authentic French Macarons in different flavors, I created my very first hand painted 'Marilyn' cake, and I created what I think will be the next great wedding trend, cake pushups! (Remember the ice cream pushups as a kid??)
All of the planners loved what I had on display, I made some great connections, and thanks to Jessica Stout from Stout Photography, I have images to share.
